The Xi Delta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, has a long and decorated history of serving Harford and Cecil counties. For nearly 40 years, XDO has helped the community through service projects, fundraisers, scholarship opportunities, educational advancement, social policy, motivating change and committing to community excellence.
Through fundraising events, such as our Annual Ivy Ball, Xi Delta Omega Chapter supports the Harford County community through donations and partnerships with organizations such as Harford Habitat for Humanity, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Aberdeen and Edgewood, Windsor Valley Community Center, Black Youth in Action Debutante Ball, Hosanna School Museum, Urban Impact, Inc., Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Baltimore, American Cancer Society, and the American Red Cross.
We have also sponsored students to attend The Historic Black College and University Tour. In addition, we have supported families in need throughout Harford County by way of donations and gifts. Xi Delta Omega sponsors programs to support health awareness and prevention, financial literacy and educational opportunities for college bound students. Over the last 10 years, proceeds from fundraiser events have provided scholarships totaling over $100,000 to Harford County students.
Xi Delta Omega's formal and themed fundraising event typically held annually in May of each year. All proceeds from this event support programs and initiatives that benefit Harford and Cecil County residents.
Xi Delta Omega's most enduring program of service is providing scholarships to deserving high school and college students. For questions about our scholarships please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
